Each year, in Vermont, the International Amateur Winemaker Competition is held. The entries received are from all over the world (The 2011 competition saw entries from over 7 Countries, 49 States and 8 Provinces). For the 5th year in a row, in 2011, RJS Craft Winemaking kits took more medals than any other wine kit manufacturer in the world! Be it the En Primeur series’ Italian Amarone (winner of the most medals for a red wine), Cru Select ’s Specialty release of Orange Chocolate Port (winner of the most medals ever for a kit), through to Orchard Breezin’ s fruit flavoured “Mist” style wines (more medals than any other “Mist” style wine kit on the market!) you can be assured of the best quality ever.

Unlike any of our competitors, ALL of the wines sold at Wascana Wine & U-Brew are also Country specific (in some cases, like our En Primeur series, they are region specific!).

Several of our red wines now come with added grape skins, allowing you to get involved with the wine on an even bigger scale. The Grape skins added during primary fermentation give added depth, more vibrant and deeper colour, chewier tannins and overall complexity.
